Introducing Aether Engine, an open source XR engine built off Godot!
During the creation of the new XRUIOS demo in March 2026, we tried developing on a few engines like Unity, Unreal, Godot and Evergine; all of these felt like they were missing something related to XR that made it suboptimal for genuine development. With this, Aether Engine was created to sate these needs.
Changes Include:
Worldspace UIs interactable on world space and XR (Made to have many on screen, after loading it can have 8800 elements on a scene @ 500FPS)
C# focused with Arch ECS automatically in there
Solarized Theme + Small color changes + Font change + properties bar change for Nier Esque view
Bones of a model are exposed and able to be changed in 3D space similar to Unity's way of doing it (Although separate dock for organization)
Blendshapes are automatically exposed through another dock
Editor for dragging any item to size in 3D
The Shinra Meisin - Custom Face Tracking

It's been a while since the last update (Especially considering I wanted this to be a monthly ordeal) but I wanted to take a bit of time since the last update to share a few developments going on here @ WI!

The Vector Gear And Andromeda - Our Headsets

The Vector Gear and Andromeda has changed significantly since you may have last seen it!
To begin, we now have two models:
The main VectorGear, with dual 2160z2160 90 hertz display, and
The Andromeda, which has dual 1600x1600 or 2560x2560 displays.
The main Vector Gear is capable of PCVR, standalone and emulation, while the Andromeda is mainly focused towards PCVR. It has face tracking + inside out tracking and supports tethered + wireless PCVR!
There's a lot more, but you can actually visit the special website on the headset! We've started collecting emails for crowdfunding as well, so do feel free to apply if you are interested in buying the Vector Gear early!
Aether Engine - An XR Focused Godot Fork

We've been busy in creating a custom face/eye tracking for our own headsets (The Vector Gear and Andromeda)! It currently works better than Babble in terms of mouth tracking and we aim to have the quality level of ETVR for eye tracking!
Nose, cheek and tongue tracking is planned, we're buying a Quest Pro soon to get the data we need to add those in, then moving onto actually putting this in a headset
Work even with facial hair, glasses, glare and tilted views with ease
Our architecture is more modern and generally better compared to alternatives (Babble, ETVR, Almalence, "Paper" Tracker) thanks to using modern architecture
It has an all in one/modular architecture for the current tracking it can do alongside future
ARKit 52 expression matrix friendly
We are looking at creating an easy to use, low cost mod for headsets later while making it free to use personally and cheap for developers to build around.
Walker Industries @ Vket 2026 + Tokyo Gameshow

Walker Industries will be part of VKet 2026 this year! If you look around the venue, you might find our advertisement running to the side! We are also now partnered with Synapse VR, a group with over 70k members.
We also will be presenting the headsets alongside a few other projects @ Tokyo Gameshow this September! Please feel free to pass by if you are in the area!
WalkerWorks + WIDOW - Coming Soon
And more!
We will be building Masaki Quest and the new XRUIOS port off this; look for us @ Tokyo Gameshow 2026 to see more!

We are continuing development of WalkerWorks once more! This will be a three part store, focused on
Software For The Vector Gear, Computers and our super secret Steam Machine alternative
Game/Asset Development Tools and
Indie Hardware Development
Our goal is to make it easy for developers to build off of everything we're making and to furthermore give developers the peace of mind they need to create the best applications out there!
We are looking to hopefully talk about this more in the future alongside WIDOW, a service that allows you to use any and all Walker Industries services from a single, secure account.
All in all, development continues strongly on all sides and i'm looking forward to sharing much more! We've been super busy with development but everyone over at Walker Industries is working on all sorts of amazing projects!

Special Guest From The Prominence Team - Akira Reforged

Here's a cool project by a member of the Prominence Team!
Our friend here has built a modular frame allowing you to create your own lifesized, customizable 30 Minute Sister Robot!
It's called Akira Reforged, a fully modular framework for 3D printing your own life-size humanoid figure in the style of a 30 Minute Sisters! It's version two of a project they've been quietly developing for a long time and they've put a lot of love into it!
It includes things like:
Full life-size model files, printable from a home printer
An omni-tool file designed to make the build process as smooth as possible
A single screw type throughout to keep costs and part sourcing simple
Kits available with all required hardware, including dampeners strong enough to let her actually hold objects
A fully modular plate and module system, meaning you can design and attach your own custom panels
And more to come (such as a way to talk to her)!
It's genuinely well thought out for builders who want something ambitious without it becoming a project from hell! Personally I'm planning a Fem Barbatos Lupus Rex build using this as the base, with soft muscle actuators we've been planning on the side so there's a lot you can do with this if you give it the time!
He's new to posting and asked for my help putting this out there - If this is your kind of project,
